The first step to knitting is
casting of the stitches on which will ensue the rest of the knitted project |

Pour monter des
mailles, il faut une aiguille et une pelote de laine. |
 |
To cast on stitches, you will need one
needle and a skein of yarn. |
|
Couper un fil 3 fois la longueur nécessaire à l'ouvrage
(calculer environ 2 mètres pour un pull adulte). Il est préférable de couper trop
long de fil que d'avoir à recommencer le processus. |
|
Cut the thread 3 times
the length necessary for the knit (calculate approximately 2 meters for an
adult sweater). It is preferrable to cut a thread longer than it is to have
to start the process over. |

Avec la laine, faire un noeud autour de l'aiguille. |
|
With the yarn, make a knot around the
needle. |

Tirer et placer le noeud sous l'aiguille, face vers
le bas. |

Avec le brin de laine et la main droite, enrouler le

On se retrouve avec deux mailles qui se forment, la
boucle soutenue par la main droite, la pelote à gauche et le brin de laine
à droite. |

Il ne reste plus qu'à tirer les fils pour
régulariser les deux mailles se retrouvant maintenant sur l'aiguille. |

Répéter cette opération autant de fois que
nécessaire, selon le nombre de mailles désiré. |
